Field Service Technician (m/w/d)

About the role

GEA, a global supplier of technology for the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, is looking for a hands-on, customer-oriented Field Service Technician for its Service Team in Croatia. You will support customers with the installation, commissioning, maintenance and optimization of advanced processing equipment such as separators and decanters. The role suits someone who enjoys working independently, travelling extensively and solving technical problems at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, retrofit and repair work on separators and decanters
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues on site and remotely
• Install, commission and start up new equipment, including I/O checks, water runs, product trials, functional testing and customer handover
• Carry out equipment adjustments and process optimization for reliable operation
• Coordinate troubleshooting with internal technical support teams when needed
• Prepare service reports and technical documentation after each visit
• Provide technical support to customers across Croatia and occasionally in Hungary and Slovenia
• Maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits

Required profile

• Technical vocational education in mechanics, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field
• Experience in service, maintenance or commissioning of industrial equipment
• Independent, hands-on and customer-oriented working style
• Willingness to travel and good Croatian and English, written and spoken
• Valid Category B driving licence

Required skills

• Knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, automation systems or separation technology is an advantage
• Strong communication skills
