About the role

The Finance Assistant will support the finance department of Modulor Constructions in Zagreb, ensuring accurate processing of accounting documents and smooth interaction with external accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with external accounting service providers.
• Prepare, collect and submit bookkeeping documents such as invoices, statements, contracts and travel orders.
• Validate the correctness and authenticity of financial documents before processing.
• Reconcile accounts with customers and suppliers, monitor open items and receivables.
• Track deadlines for tax and statutory obligations (VAT, corporate tax, payroll reporting) in collaboration with accounting.
• Manage banking relationships, monitor fees and handle credit facilities.
• Prepare payment orders, monitor liquidity and cash flow.
• Produce financial reports, reviews and analyses for management.
• Participate in budgeting, financial planning and variance monitoring.
• Stay updated on legal regulations affecting financial operations.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency in English is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, accuracy, responsibility and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Knowledge of relevant tax and legal regulations.
