About the role

The Independent Union of Employees in Secondary Schools of Croatia is looking for a motivated legal professional to provide expert legal support to union members and internal departments. The role involves ensuring compliance with labour and education legislation while contributing to collective bargaining and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and assistance to union members and internal units.
• Draft, review and interpret internal acts, decisions, regulations and other legal documents.
• Prepare legal opinions and analyses on labour law, education regulations and union activities.
• Monitor statutory and subordinate regulations and align union operations with current legislation.
• Participate in the preparation of collective agreements and negotiations with employers.
• Develop proposals for resolving legal issues and disputes.
• Carry out other legal tasks as assigned by the employer.

Required profile

• University degree in law (completed undergraduate and graduate studies or integrated law programme).
• Preferably experience in the education sector, especially in secondary schools.
• Proficiency with standard office software (MS Office).
