About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist (m/f) to join our team at Perutnina Ptuj – PIPO d.o.o., based in Čakovec. The role involves active participation in bookkeeping and daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legal regulations and support cross‑departmental initiatives to improve reporting accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously update the company’s business books, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
• Execute daily operational accounting tasks, such as invoice processing, payment verification, and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly and annual financial calculations and tax reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Monitor current accounting legislation and guarantee its proper application throughout all financial activities.
• Assist in drafting, updating and applying internal accounting regulations and related legal acts.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise processes, improve data flow and guarantee precise financial reporting.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management, contributing to overall financial governance.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics (VSS, economics track).
• Minimum three years of experience in similar accounting positions.
• Valid category B driving licence.
• Proficiency in English language.
• High level of precision, strong teamwork orientation and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP (considered an advantage).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
