Senior Software Engineer

About the role

INETEC, a high-tech company active for more than 35 years in the nuclear industry, designs and produces robotic systems, instruments, software, controllers and probes. It is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its R&D team and develop software for robotic manipulation, instrument communication, ultrasonic and eddy-current signal processing, and web solutions for nuclear power plants.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement software for manipulators, instruments and business processes, and plan software architectures.
• Archive software versions and maintain bug logs, initiating corrective actions.
• Guide preparation of project and technical documentation according to industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor new technologies, develop internal software solutions and take part in field testing and system commissioning.
• Lead several projects, including complex ones, within technical, time and budget constraints, and suggest new projects.
• Take part in sales-related activities, order components and provide software support during inspections.
• Take part in technical reporting and design reviews, and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• Master's degree in computer science, computing, software engineering or a related mechatronics degree.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of software design, implementation, technical documentation, architecture planning and software presentation.
• Advanced knowledge of industry standards and regulations, and advanced English.
