Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer

About the role

INETEC, a high-tech company designing, developing and producing robotic systems, instruments, software, controllers and probes for the nuclear industry, is looking for a Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer to join its robotics team in the R&D division in Donji Stupnik, Croatia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and test custom PCBs for robotic manipulators and automated systems, and debug and validate new mechatronic modules.
• Ensure EMC/EMI compliance from schematic design through to final hardware, and analyse electronic and electromechanical components.
• Work with mechanical engineers on electronics inside manipulators or control units, and lead programming of industrial robot paths and pneumatics design.
• Define system architecture, draw and approve electrical and pneumatic schematics and CAD models, and guide project documentation.
• Add components to the component database, collaborate with suppliers and procurement, and contribute to technical reports and reviews.
• Take part in commissioning and field testing, review labour hours, timelines and budgets, lead several projects and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (mechatronics and robotics preferred).
• At least 7 years of experience developing complex robotic systems or products.
• Strong command of English, written and spoken.
• Proactive, detail-focused, team-oriented and positive.

Required skills

• Electronic and pneumatic component knowledge.
• Schematic and PCB tools such as Altium, KiCAD or Eagle.
• Electrical drafting tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, MS Project and MS Office.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
