About the role

We are looking for an experienced independent accountant to join our finance team in Zagreb. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle for large investment projects in the residential construction and real‑estate sector, ensuring compliance with Croatian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping of incoming and outgoing documents and bank statements
• Processing compensations, cessions and advance payments for customers and suppliers
• Preparing and posting invoices
• Communicating with customers and suppliers to reconcile open items
• Executing payment orders via e‑banking platforms
• Calculating payroll and other employee earnings
• Handling other income receipts and preparing final accounts
• Monitoring legal regulations in accounting, finance and tax

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in independent accounting tasks
• Experience in construction, investment or project activities is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
• Excellent organizational abilities and professional communication
• High level of discretion, analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Initiative, independence and ability to work both autonomously and within a team

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office
• Familiarity with Synesis accounting software (advantage)
