About the role

We are looking for an independent accountant to manage the bookkeeping and financial reporting for several companies in Zagreb. The role involves ensuring compliance with Croatian accounting standards and tax legislation while providing accurate payroll and financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Independently maintain bookkeeping for multiple entities in line with legal regulations and accounting standards.
• Record and reconcile accounting documents.
• Process payroll and other income calculations.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports for tax authorities, financial institutions and other stakeholders.
• Perform any additional accounting tasks as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in economics or related field (VSS).
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of Croatian accounting, tax and labor legislation.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Reliability, good communication skills and sense of responsibility.
• Optional: basic English language skills.
• Optional: category B driver’s licence.
