Project Quality Manager (m/f)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Project Quality Manager in Zagreb. The role provides end-to-end project quality governance for one major or complex customer project, or a portfolio of smaller projects, from RFI/RFQ and contract review through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, site installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, handover and closeout. It acts as the primary Project Quality focal point for the project and the customer, reporting to the Project Quality Head.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project-level quality governance throughout the lifecycle and define the project-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
• Define project controls, inspection strategies, checklists, acceptance criteria, hold and witness points and quality closeout requirements
• Manage quality risks, coordinate mitigation plans and escalate significant risks affecting milestones, acceptance or handover
• Coordinate quality interfaces across Factory Quality, Site Supplier Quality, Site Quality, Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, Service, contractors and integrators
• Perform risk-based quality verification at key milestones and monitor quality performance, including cost of poor quality, delays, defects and punch items
• Coordinate issue escalation, investigations, corrective actions and lessons learned, and provide status reports and dashboards

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Quality, Project Management or a related technical field
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in Project Quality, Quality Engineering, Project Management, Engineering, Operations or a related environment
• Experience leading quality activities for complex, engineered-to-order, infrastructure, industrial, construction or customer projects
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally; about 25% travel depending on project location and phase
• Valid driving licence and ability to work in office, factory, supplier and construction-site environments

Required skills

• Project Quality Plans, ITPs, lifecycle verification, risk management, FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning and handover
• Quality Management Systems, non-conformance management, RCA, 8D and corrective action
• Digital quality systems, project collaboration platforms, dashboards and reporting tools
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement qualification
