Project Cost Controller

About the role

PROPLAN is looking for an experienced Project Cost Controller to join its project team in Rijeka. You will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and reporting the financial performance of projects, ensuring costs, revenues and progress are aligned with the project’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project manager to classify and track costs and revenues according to the project cost structure.
• Participate in internal project meetings and client meetings.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts and cash flow.
• Analyse the impact of project progress on costs, revenues and final outcomes.
• Track subcontractor performance and compare invoiced values with work performed.
• Produce monthly cost reports and support budget revisions.
• Work with contract analysts to identify change‑order opportunities and manage contract modifications.
• Contribute to the final project report and maintain daily communication with the project team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project cost controlling.
• Proven ability to detect deviations, understand their impact and communicate them promptly.
• Degree in economics, engineering or a related field.
• Valid B‑category driving licence and willingness to travel for short and long‑term assignments.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel for large‑scale data analysis.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
