Process Engineer, Injection Molding

About the role

Jabil, a manufacturer of engineering, supply chain and manufacturing solutions, has opened a new facility in Osijek, Croatia. It is looking for a Process Engineer, Injection Molding to develop, implement and optimise production and processing methods for new and existing assembly and molding operations, ensuring quality standards are met efficiently and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the startup and implementation of new and existing production projects, focusing on cost, efficiency and quality.
• Establish and maintain process controls and accurate documentation.
• Monitor assembly and molding operations, troubleshoot issues and work with quality teams to resolve defects.
• Develop and document processes for new product lines, evaluate performance and support new tool design.
• Diagnose and debug moderately complex issues in systems, tooling and automation.
• Run experiments to improve yields, reduce cycle times and improve setup efficiency.
• Recommend and implement process improvements and maintenance changes, documented properly.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workplace in line with safety programmes, and guide assembly and material handling staff.
• Support tooling engineers with design for manufacture issues and suggest best-in-class practices.
• Help drive regulatory and compliance certifications such as ISO9000, ISO14000, AS9100 and TUV.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in assembly and/or molding processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plastics injection molding.
• Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment (injection molding preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and e-mail.
• RJG Master Molder training preferred.
