About the role
Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Presales Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team that designs modular and hybrid data centre and power‑room solutions. You will work closely with sales, customers and suppliers to turn complex requirements into buildable concepts.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Presales Engineering team supporting modular and hybrid data centre projects.
- Develop integrated solutions across electrical, HVAC, architectural, civil, controls, monitoring and fire‑protection disciplines.
- Review customer specifications, tender documents and drawings, translating them into effective design solutions.
- Partner with sales and customers to present technical concepts and proposals.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, manufacturing and project teams.
- Review engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Identify technical risks and devise cost‑effective solutions.
- Improve engineering tools, standards, processes and workflows.
- Mentor engineers, set performance objectives and support career growth.
- Support the transition of awarded projects from presales to detailed design and execution.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering.
- 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in data centres, critical infrastructure or modular construction.
- Proven experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of data centre design, systems and architecture.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and applicable codes/standards.
- Excellent customer‑facing communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team‑development capabilities.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- AutoCAD (preferred).
