Presales Electrical Engineer – AMER Region

About the role

We are looking for a Presales Electrical Engineer to support Vertiv’s AMER market, based in Zagreb. The role bridges sales, solution architecture and engineering to design electrical solutions for data centre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, tender documents and customer requirements provided by solution architects and sales teams.
• Develop concept designs for electrical system architecture, including UPS, DC, LV/MV distribution and diesel generator systems.
• Create CAD models and electrical schematics that comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, controls and fire‑protection disciplines.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to propose optimal solutions and produce technical proposals for Vertiv modular/hybrid data‑centre offerings.
• Prepare detailed electrical design documentation and support technical project coordination.
• Perform short‑circuit, protection coordination studies and equipment dimensioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical power system design.
• Strong communication skills in English (minimum B2).
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams.

Required skills

• Electrical power system design.
• CAD modelling and AutoCAD.
• Creation of electrical schematic diagrams.
• Design of UPS, DC, LV and MV distribution systems and diesel gensets.
• Short‑circuit analysis and protection coordination studies.
• Dimensioning and specification of electrical equipment.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word).
