Maintenance Engineer

About the role

gevernova is looking for a Maintenance Engineer in Karlovac. The role covers the maintenance of machine and equipment databases, spare parts management, reliability analysis and preventive maintenance planning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain machine and equipment databases, including failure escalation, time of failure, failure description and impact, spare parts used, suppliers, lead times, spare part costs and repair time.
• Analyse spare parts needs based on delivery lead times, and carry out cost-benefit analyses comparing spare parts costs against reduced repair time, higher availability and increased sales.
• Purchase, store and manage spare parts.
• Use collected data for reliability and availability calculations (lognormal for mechanical equipment, exponential for electronic equipment).
• Run FMEA to analyse failure modes, causes and effects and prioritise actions; analyse failure rates to identify wear-out periods and propose retrofits or replacements.
• Plan preventive maintenance and define its scope.
• Select external service providers for maintenance and repairs.
• Perform diagnostic and geometrical control of machines.
• Plan and execute legally binding equipment inspections carried out by authorities and accredited inspection bodies.

Required profile

• Graduate engineer, preferably in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Valid right to work in Croatia; relocation assistance is not provided.
• Availability to work regular hours, Monday to Friday.

Required skills

• English spoken and written.
• Croatian.
• Advanced use of MS Office.
• Strong teamwork, oral and written communication, problem solving, decision-making, sense of urgency, lean thinking and innovation.
