Legal Counsel – ICT & Data Protection Specialist

About the role

Axians Croatia is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic legal advice across its ICT, cloud, SaaS and software‑development projects. The role involves supporting management, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with data‑protection and cybersecurity regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic legal advice to management and business teams.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and partner agreements.
• Support ICT, cloud, SaaS, managed services and software‑development projects.
• Advise on GDPR, AI Act, NIS2, cybersecurity and other compliance matters.
• Assist with public procurement procedures and contract execution.
• Manage claims, disputes and legal risks, coordinating external counsel when needed.
• Contribute to corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Master of Laws degree (Bar exam considered an advantage).
• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in‑house or in the technology sector.
• Strong experience in commercial contracting and negotiations.
• Knowledge of ICT, software, cloud and data‑protection law.
• Business‑oriented mindset with ability to balance risk and opportunity.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and directly with senior management.
