About the role
The HACCP Team Coordinator will lead the HACCP team through all phases of development, implementation and maintenance of the HACCP system, ensuring food safety across the production process.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and manage the HACCP team from design to ongoing operation.
- Identify biological, chemical and physical hazards and define critical control points (CCP).
- Regularly review and update the HACCP plan in response to process changes, new risks or regulatory updates.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, procurement and safety departments to ensure an integrated food‑safety approach.
- Create and maintain HACCP documentation, including manuals, records, forms, procedures and protocols.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare for certification body and sanitary inspection audits.
- Monitor legislative changes and keep the HACCP system aligned with national and international standards (Codex, IFS, etc.).
- Plan and deliver training on HACCP procedures and food‑safety practices.
- Track effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions and report findings with improvement proposals.
Required profile
- Higher education in food technology, biotechnology, microbiology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food safety, quality control or regulatory compliance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Possession of a HACCP certificate; additional certifications such as PCQI, IFS Food, ISO 14001 or Rainforest Alliance are a plus.
- Familiarity with food‑safety legislation and standards (e.g., national hygiene regulations, Codex Alimentarius).
- Strong organisational skills, high responsibility, independent work style and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, and a valid B‑category driving licence.
