Java Developer (m/f)

About the role

Join the Teamio product team at Alma Career Croatia, building core components that handle candidate applications, databases and recruiter tools. You will work on a platform that sits at the centre of the recruitment process for major job portals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve backend services using Java.
• Collaborate on frontend features implemented in React and TypeScript.
• Design and evolve the architecture of Teamio’s product components.
• Modernize existing applications and overall architecture.
• Design cloud infrastructure following Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Work with candidate data, job applications and internal recruitment sources.
• Integrate Teamio with job portals and other internal systems.
• Improve performance, stability, scalability and security.
• Write and maintain automated tests.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and cross‑functional teams across Alma Career.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Java backend development.
• Experience with frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to contribute ideas and participate in architectural decisions.
• Strong collaboration skills with product owners and cross‑functional teams.
