Internal Tools Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Alma is looking for an Internal Tools Engineer to join its Group IT Operations team. You will help colleagues across several European locations work smarter by building, maintaining and continuously improving internal platforms, automations and AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and evolve core IT Operations platforms such as ESM/ITSM, monitoring, automation and integration tools.
• Design, develop and support automations for Microsoft 365, Slack and related services.
• Promote and implement AI solutions that increase efficiency, quality and speed in IT Operations.
• Translate user and business requirements into practical tool enhancements and workflow improvements.
• Develop integrations using REST APIs and other appropriate technologies.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve existing processes and document solutions for knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Solid conceptual understanding of IT platforms, integrations and enterprise solutions.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly in English.
• Self‑driven, proactive attitude and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Power Platform automation.
• REST API development and integration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Slack automation.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and their practical business use.
