IT Security Engineer – SIEM & SOC (German speaking)

About the role

STRABAG is looking for a proactive IT Security Engineer to develop and operate its SIEM solution and support the Security Operations Center. The role requires strong German and English communication skills and the ability to work in an international team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure, monitor and optimise the SIEM platform, including dashboards, searches, alerts, use cases and reports.
• Analyse large volumes of security data to detect incidents, reduce impact and provide recommendations.
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate the security of new hardware, software and services during procurement.
• Contribute to security audits, preparing audit reports and technical documentation.
• Support the implementation of IT security measures across the STRABAG Group.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Informatics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in a SOC focusing on SIEM, monitoring and incident response.
• Ability to analyse network traffic and investigate threats across on‑premise, remote and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently and within an international team.
• Fluent in English and German.
