Independent Field Sales Consultant

About the role

As an Independent Field Sales Consultant for SumUp, you will help local entrepreneurs adopt simple payment and point‑of‑sale solutions. You work autonomously, managing your own schedule and territory while representing a leading European fintech brand.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new merchants through face‑to‑face field sales, prospecting and cold acquisition.
• Visit cafés, restaurants, salons, boutiques and other independent businesses.
• Present SumUp’s payment and POS solutions and demonstrate their day‑to‑day benefits.
• Build trusted, long‑term relationships with local entrepreneurs.
• Manage your own sales pipeline, follow up prospects and convert opportunities into partnerships.
• Organise your territory and daily activities independently to maximise success.
• Develop and grow a personal customer portfolio over time.
• Represent SumUp professionally in the local market.

Required profile

• Previous experience in B2B, field or direct sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Confidence in cold acquisition and generating new business.
• Discipline to work independently and take responsibility for results.
• Valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Fluent Croatian and good working proficiency in English.
• Existing Croatian company/sole proprietorship or willingness to register one.
• Motivation to build your own business while representing a leading fintech company.

• Uncapped commission structure with strong earning potential.
