HR Specialist – Recruitment & Learning & Development

About the role

We are looking for an HR Specialist who will lead recruitment and learning & development initiatives for a premium international hotel chain in Novi Vinodolski. The role combines talent acquisition, onboarding, and continuous employee development to support high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage recruitment and talent management strategies.
• Conduct the full selection process: advertise vacancies, review applications, interview candidates and make hiring decisions.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand business needs.
• Plan, organize and deliver onboarding programmes for new employees.
• Design and roll out continuous training programmes for staff development.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programmes accordingly.
• Create and update educational materials.
• Organise workshops, seminars and other learning events.
• Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices in training and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (preferred).
• Experience in recruitment and/or employee training, preferably in the hotel or service industry.
• Ability to assess candidates and make objective decisions.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Creativity and innovation in developing training programmes.
• Knowledge of modern recruitment, education and employee development practices.
• Independent, proactive and results‑oriented.
• Familiarity with talent management tools and learning systems (LMS, ATS).
• Proficient use of MS Office and digital education tools.
