Full-Stack Developer (React + Spring Boot)

About the role

HiveTech is looking for a Full-Stack Developer (React and Spring Boot) in Zagreb to join its team working on projects ranging from large enterprise solutions to small custom apps. The position is full time and permanent, with a supportive team culture and a focus on professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable front-end interfaces in React and robust back-end services in Spring Boot
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute unit and integration tests
• Take part in and lead code reviews, setting best practices for front-end and back-end
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, QA, DevOps and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimise performance and ensure high availability
• Share knowledge by mentoring team members and presenting technical insights

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional experience building front-end and back-end components in production
• Based in the Croatian-speaking area
• Written and spoken English proficiency
• Nice to have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/LESS), JavaScript/TypeScript
• React (v16+) with Hooks, Redux/Context API
• Java (8+) and Spring Boot (REST APIs, dependency injection, Spring Data, Spring Security)
• RESTful/GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL and MySQL, Hibernate
• Jest, React Testing Library, JUnit, Mockito
• Git, SVN or similar version control
• Nice to have: microservices and Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ/Kafka, CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), Scrum/Kanban
