Fleet Personnel Officer (m/f)

About the role

The Fleet Personnel Officer works within the Crewing department, focusing on recruiting qualified, experienced, and medically fit seafarers from South‑East Europe for the company’s vessels. The role ensures smooth embarkation, disembarkation, and sea‑service processes while maintaining compliance with maritime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with vessel planning requirements.
• Verify medical status of seafarers and arrange necessary appointments.
• Update personnel files in dedicated software, including certificates and licenses.
• Ensure all required documents are valid for each contract.
• Coordinate training needs with the training department.
• Apply for Flag State endorsements.
• Conduct local briefings for seafarers before embarkation.
• Prepare seafarer contracts (SEA’s) in line with regulations.
• Arrange travel logistics for crew members.
• Debrief seafarers at contract completion and collect feedback.
• Apply CMA Ships policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and compliance awareness.
• Decision‑making and problem‑solving capability.
• Understanding of quality‑control procedures and relevant maritime conventions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
