Firmware Engineer (Embedded C/C++)

About the role

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our Zagreb team and develop embedded real‑time software for power converters based on GaN, SiC and Si technologies. You will work closely with hardware and test engineers to bring innovative projects from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver C/C++ code for embedded real‑time systems.
• Design software architecture and DSP algorithms for power converters.
• Participate in maintenance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of existing products.
• Collaborate with hardware and test engineers on implementation and testing of new devices.
• Optimize code, manage revision control (Git) and create documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure software quality and performance.
• Create test specifications, perform software testing, examination and validation.
• Mentor junior colleagues within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of software design, maintainability and version control.
• Good mathematical foundation and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level) and ability to communicate complex technical concepts.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• Code Composer Studio development environment.
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and control theory.
• Git for revision control.
• Experience with real‑time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of FPGA design (Vivado) is an advantage.
