About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to join Kufner Group in Zagreb. The role will play a key part in financial planning, analysis and reporting, providing management with the insights needed for strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly closing processes and ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial and controlling reports.
• Monitor key business and financial indicators such as EBITDA, OCF, working capital, KPI, sales, volumes and prices.
• Develop business analyses and commentary for management, proposing improvements to results.
• Participate in budgeting, financial planning and business forecasting.
• Support operational teams during reporting and planning cycles.
• Create ad‑hoc analyses and reports for management and the CRH Group.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with all company functions to enhance performance and processes.
• Assist in strategic projects, including acquisition analysis, financial modelling, investment appraisal and post‑acquisition control implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis or production controlling.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, planning and business analysis.
• Proficient English (minimum B2).
• Analytical, organisational and proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to cooperate with diverse teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, VBA).
• Power BI for data visualisation and analytics.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
