ESG Compliance & Sustainable Finance Associate

About the role

Join PwC’s ESG team in Zagreb as an Associate focused on compliance and sustainable finance. You will help leading financial institutions and corporates navigate complex ESG regulations and embed sustainability into their financing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in understanding and implementing ESG regulations such as CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy and CSDDD.
• Contribute to sustainable finance projects, including ESG integration, framework development, and green‑bond or sustainability‑linked loan transactions.
• Assist with ESG reporting, preparing and reviewing disclosures and metrics.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of ESG data, risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and the international PwC network on ESG engagements.

Required profile

• University degree (or final‑year student) in Finance, Banking, Economics or a related field.
• Strong interest in ESG regulations and sustainable finance.
• Analytical mindset with solid data interpretation abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in Croatian and English.
