Energy Consultant – Procurement and Transition (Balkan Market)

About the role

E&C Consultants is looking for an Energy Consultant for its Global Consultants team, based in Croatia and working remotely. The role covers procurement and transition services for the Balkan market, advising clients on energy-buying risks, purchasing and renewable strategies and green energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Risk strategy: advise clients on minimising energy-buying risks, develop purchasing and renewable strategies and negotiate contracts
• Market analysis: identify trends, opportunities and insights in the energy and risk management sectors
• Sustainability and green energy buying: explore solar, wind, cogeneration and other green solutions and help clients contract them
• Projects: assess possibilities for renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and innovative energy sourcing projects

Required profile

• Confident communicator, organised, resilient, eager to learn and creative problem solver
• Follows energy market trends and is curious about how regulation and innovation shape the energy transition
• Ability to interpret data, run calculations and draw insights during tendering processes
• 1-2 years of client-facing experience is ideal, though other levels are welcome
• Bachelor's degree in Consulting, Business or Energy Management, or a related field, preferred
• Basic understanding of energy markets or risk management is an asset; training is provided
• Fluent English and Croatian, and willingness to travel for clients, events and international collaboration
