About the role

The Finance Director will lead the accounting department of a resort‑focused company, ensuring accurate and reliable financial processes. This senior position reports directly to executive management and requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the accounting department, guaranteeing data accuracy and compliance.
• Manage and develop accounting systems (SAP, OPERA and other ERP solutions) and oversee data quality.
• Prepare financial statements, annual reports, tax filings and other statutory reports.
• Organise and control inventory processes, payroll, cash flow, credit and other financial obligations.
• Monitor tax and accounting regulations and ensure their application across business processes.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurers and other external partners.
• Produce and analyse monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, investment analyses and management reports for senior leadership.
• Participate in cost‑control, investment management and profit‑center reporting.
• Oversee activities related to real‑estate, asset insurance and other administrative financial processes.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by executive management.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Proven financial management experience in hospitality, real‑estate or a related sector.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting and long‑term resource allocation.
• Excellent knowledge of Croatian accounting, tax and financial regulations.
• Analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• High precision, integrity and attention to detail.
• Leadership skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite in Umag and thrive in a dynamic resort environment.
