Department Manager – Supermarket (Bakery, Deli, Dairy, etc.)

About the role

Plodine, one of Croatia's leading retail chains, is looking for a motivated Department Manager to lead one of its supermarket sections such as bakery, delicatessen, dairy, gastro, or fruit & veg. You will be responsible for organizing daily operations, motivating staff, and ensuring sales targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the assigned department team.
• Plan and control product assortment, inventory and merchandising.
• Drive sales through effective customer service and promotional activities.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and store presentation.
• Report performance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• KV/SSS qualification (Croatian vocational certification).
• Several years of experience in retail or similar environment.
• Strong communication and sales abilities.
• High sense of responsibility and willingness to work in a team.
