Certification & Safety Manager

About the role

Jedsy Mission Control is seeking a meticulous and proactive Certification & Safety Manager to lead its certification programme and ensure the safe development of drone technology. Based in Split, Croatia, you will act as the primary liaison with aviation authorities and guide the team toward regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret SORA requirements, EASA guidance and other aviation regulations and apply them to Jedsy operations.
• Coordinate certification activities, maintain applications, manuals, compliance documents and track deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with authorities, consultants, technical partners and internal departments.
• Oversee the work of the existing certification team and collaborate with engineering, flight operations, training and management.
• Support risk assessments, incident reviews, corrective actions and raise safety concerns clearly.
• Manage a high workload with shifting priorities and strict timelines.

Required profile

• Exceptional attention to detail and an independent, structured working style.
• Strong analytical ability and interest in researching complex technical information.
• Demonstrable connection to drones or aviation (e.g., pilot licence, gliding, model aircraft, etc.).
• Confidence to challenge unsafe or non‑compliant situations.
• Ability to manage team members, review work carefully and follow up on priorities.

Required skills

• Experience using AI tools.
• Familiarity with SORA methodology.
• Knowledge of EASA UAS regulations or related means of compliance.
