Assistant in Private Brand Development

About the role

This position supports the development and procurement of private‑label products for a leading Croatian retailer. You will work closely with the regional procurement manager and various internal teams to bring new items to market and optimise existing ones.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in the development and sourcing of private‑brand products.
• Prepare reports and monitor sales, inventory levels and production plans.
• Assist in cost calculations and the preparation of contracts for private‑label items.
• Conduct market research and analysis to support product improvement.
• Organise organoleptic testing and collect samples in cooperation with Quality Control.
• Maintain daily operational communication with suppliers.
• Execute additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• Completed secondary or undergraduate studies in economics.
• Up to two years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent command of English.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interest in the retail industry.
• Highly developed communication and analytical abilities.
• Organised, proactive and willing to travel for supplier visits.
• Valid category B driver’s licence.
