Android Developer (Hybrid)

About the role

DEPT, a growth-invention agency working at the intersection of technology and marketing, is hiring an Android Developer for its Experience & Engineering team in Zagreb. You will design, develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications that deliver engaging digital experiences for clients such as Gant, Inter Milan, bol.com and Just Eat Takeaway. The position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver mobile applications with cross-functional teams.
• Turn design specifications and client requirements into functional, user-friendly Android features.
• Improve app performance, usability and reliability.
• Follow the full mobile development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Adhere to best practices, including SOLID principles and MVVM design patterns.
• Mentor junior developers and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Solid understanding of Android frameworks and the mobile development lifecycle.
• Proven problem-solving skills, independence and excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams and a proactive, responsible attitude.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with SOLID principles and MVVM.
• Kotlin Multiplatform and previous Java experience are a plus.
