About the role

Holcim Croatia is looking for an Occupational Safety and Environment Specialist to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations. The role involves risk assessment, training coordination, record management and collaboration with authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update risk assessments for all work processes.
• Coordinate and organise safety training and initial fire‑fighting instruction, especially during organisational changes.
• Maintain records of examinations, trainings, medical checks, occupational injuries and diseases using Webznr and iCare systems.
• Conduct internal audits to verify the application of safety rules.
• Collaborate with inspections, institutes and occupational health specialists on safety and health matters.
• Participate actively in the occupational safety committee.
• Prepare procurement requests and coordinate testing of employees, equipment and facilities.
• Perform additional tasks related to occupational safety and environmental protection as needed.

Required profile

• Higher education (technical field) – VŠS or VSS.
• Passed professional exam for occupational safety specialist.
• Passed professional exam for fire‑protection responsibilities.
• Training for breath‑alcohol testing.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Good knowledge of the Occupational Safety Law.
• Basic pedagogical knowledge.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
