About the role
We are looking for a Staff Engineer to own and evolve our core backend infrastructure, a real‑time distributed system built with Python and Rust. You will lead large initiatives, improve reliability, and manage SOC 2 technical responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Own parts of the core backend infrastructure and drive end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects.
- Reduce incident rates, solve stability and production issues, and improve development velocity.
- Manage SOC 2 technical responsibilities and oversee day‑to‑day compliance execution.
Required profile
- 10+ years of Python development experience, previously a Staff or Principal Engineer at a startup.
- Proven leadership in ambiguous, large‑scale projects and strong communication skills.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and Python profiling.
Required skills
- Python (Asyncio), Rust, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Observability stacks, gRPC, LLM prompting.
- Experience with cloud‑based distributed systems and SOC 2 compliance.
