About the role

We are looking for a motivated pastry chef to join our bakery in Split. You will work in a dynamic environment, preparing a variety of cakes, pastries and desserts while maintaining our high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake cakes, pastries and other sweets according to established recipes and standards.
• Decorate and finish cakes and pastries with professional techniques.
• Produce a range of pastry creams and fillings.
• Package, slice and arrange cakes and tea‑time pastries for sale.
• Operate mixing, shaping and dough‑processing machines safely and efficiently.
• Ensure strict compliance with quality, hygiene and occupational safety regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary or higher education in food, pastry or related technology (preferred but not mandatory).
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proactive attitude and calmness in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team player with good communication abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new pastry techniques.

Required skills

• Operation of pastry mixing and shaping machines.
• Cake decorating techniques.
• Preparation of pastry creams and fillings.
