About the role

We are looking for a diligent accountant/bookkeeper to join our finance team in Varaždin. The successful candidate will handle the full spectrum of accounting tasks, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support payroll processing. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Croatian e‑tax systems and develop comprehensive financial reporting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping of accounting documents, including incoming and outgoing invoices, statements, and travel orders.
• Calculation and filing of taxes such as VAT, income tax, and corporate profit tax.
• Maintaining business books in line with company policies and procedures.
• Employee registration and deregistration in the HZMO system.
• Operating the e‑Porezna and e‑FINA applications for tax reporting.
• Processing payroll, posting salaries and other earnings.
• Monitoring changes in finance and accounting regulations.
• Managing fixed‑asset and small‑inventory records, including depreciation calculations.
• Preparing financial, statistical and legally required reports, including the final accounts.
• Handling goods accounting and inventory management.
