Accounting Specialist – Finance & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team in Varaždin. You will ensure the accounting system complies with IAS, IFRS and HSFI standards while supporting accurate financial reporting for a leading sensor technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the accounting system in line with IAS, IFRS and HSFI regulations.
• Perform bookkeeping, manage accounting records and ensure proper documentation control.
• Monitor changes in accounting, finance and tax legislation.
• Record internal and external accounting documents and reconcile the general ledger with analytical accounts.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, tax calculations and management analyses.
• Participate in external and internal audits and cooperate with tax authorities, banks and other institutions.
• Collaborate daily with various internal departments and specialists.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, preferably with a focus on accounting, auditing or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices, financial regulations and tax legislation.
• Fluency in English and excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
