Quality Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Join Standex Croatia as the first member of the Quality function, helping to build a world‑class Quality Management System from day one. You will work closely with local production, the global headquarters and the lead manufacturing plant to ensure a successful start‑up and long‑term quality excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and interpret electrical testing of transformers and magnetic components, including winding resistance, insulation resistance, turns‑ratio, high‑voltage, no‑load, polarity and inductance measurements.
• Verify that products meet technical specifications, engineering drawings and bills of material.
• Establish incoming material inspection and in‑process quality controls.
• Develop, implement and maintain QMS documentation in line with ISO requirements.
• Manage non‑conformities, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and quality performance metrics.
• Support root‑cause analysis, continuous‑improvement projects and internal, customer and certification audits.
• Coordinate with Standex global HQ and the lead plant to transfer best practices, test methods and quality standards to the new Croatia operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering) or comparable technical qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing, quality, testing or industrial engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
