Project Quality Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Project Quality Engineer in Zagreb to support major infrastructure projects. The role works alongside the Project Quality Manager and the project team through all phases, from purchase order and design to assembly, factory testing, installation, commissioning, customer acceptance and handover, ensuring quality standards and customer requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Implement project quality requirements and critical control points, and develop, maintain and coordinate Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), quality controls and verification activities in line with the Project Quality Plan, customer requirements and project risks.
• Coordinate inspection, verification, testing and acceptance activities with Factory Quality, Supplier Quality, Site Quality, contractors, integrators, Engineering, Operations and Commissioning teams.
• Maintain quality records, objective evidence and documentation, and support Lessons Learned initiatives after completed projects.
• Communicate with customers, factories and site teams, document improvement needs and initiate corrective action.
• Support investigation and resolution of quality issues, taking part in RCA, 8D, corrective action and customer issue-resolution activities, and developing 8D and customer reports.
• Work with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing/Operations, Sales, Offering Management and Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues affecting customers.
• Train and mentor personnel, follow health and safety regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of professional engineering quality experience.
• Driving licence mandatory; bi-lingual English (at least intermediate) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Team spirit, problem-solving ability, customer focus and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies.
• Additional Quality Assurance certification is a plus; Lean Six Sigma (DAMIC) experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality planning, electrical and mechanical inspection and testing, supplier, production and construction quality.
