Oracle DBA (m/f)

About the role

The Oracle DBA will provide 24x7 production support for critical Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert for the support team and drive continuous improvement through automation and best‑practice processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver round‑the‑clock production support for Oracle databases.
• Investigate and resolve performance‑related issues.
• Lead the database team during crisis, MIR and PIR calls and mentor junior members.
• Provide consultancy on complex architectures and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Identify automation and self‑healing opportunities, develop scripts and tools to reduce manual effort.
• Design and execute capacity‑planning, backup‑recovery and DR strategies.
• Implement releases, service requests and perform root‑cause analysis with permanent fixes.

Required profile

• Expert‑level knowledge of Oracle technologies with the ability to resolve complex issues independently.
• Proven experience in high‑availability replication setups (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
• Strong analytical and creative thinking, able to innovate and improve processes.
• Commitment to meet SLAs, maintain customer satisfaction and follow established policies.
