IT Security Engineer - Focus on SIEM & SOC (m/f/x)

About the role

We are looking for an IT Security Engineer who will lead the development and operation of our SIEM platform and support the Security Operations Center. You will work in a multinational environment, protecting a complex IT landscape across the STRABAG Group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure and optimise the SIEM solution, including dashboards, searches, alerts, use cases and reports.
• Analyse large volumes of security data to detect incidents, mitigate impact and recommend preventive measures.
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate the security of new hardware, software and services during procurement.
• Support security audits, prepare audit reports and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to the implementation of IT security measures across the STRABAG Group.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in a SOC, focusing on SIEM, security monitoring, incident detection and response.
• Ability to understand and investigate network traffic across on‑premise, remote and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; fluent in English and German.
