Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Join Axians Hrvatska’s Security Operations Center in Zagreb as a Cyber Security Analyst. You will work closely with customers to investigate and mitigate security incidents across IT and OT environments, providing clear reports and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze security incidents from IT/OT networks and propose mitigation measures.
• Perform log analysis, malware analysis, and deep investigations of network and endpoint activity.
• Respond to incidents through detection, containment, and eradication phases.
• Create and present detailed incident reports to customers and internal teams.
• Improve threat detection capabilities, use cases, detectors, runbooks, and response procedures.
• Participate in strategic customer meetings to discuss technical details and manage onboarding tasks.
• Collaborate with the SOC team on daily operations.

Required profile

• Completed studies in cyber security, computer science, business informatics or comparable IT apprenticeship.
• 2+ years experience in a SOC environment or 3+ years in information security.
• Proven ability to lead complex incident investigations and produce comprehensive reports.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms (e.g., SentinelOne EDR).
• Jira ticketing system.
• Knowledge of operating systems, exploits and defenses.
• Experience with NGFW, vulnerability scanners, packet analysis tools, and OT security technologies.
• SQL and scripting languages.
• Log analysis, malware analysis, and network behavior analysis.
