Application Analyst – Business Application Support

About the role

The Application Analyst will join Raiffeisenbank's IT team in Zagreb, providing second‑level support for business applications that enable core banking processes. You will work closely with users, development teams and external vendors to ensure applications run smoothly and meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and support business applications and the processes they enable.
• Investigate application incidents and user requests, coordinating resolution with third‑level support, vendors and relevant teams.
• Identify recurring incidents and performance trends, proposing improvements for stability and performance.
• Contribute to the implementation, enhancement and integration of application modules.
• Collaborate with QA and testing teams on test planning, test cases, issue analysis and resolution.
• Own application changes, ensuring proper change‑management procedures are followed.
• Coordinate releases according to defined release procedures.
• Configure or modify applications using vendor‑provided or internally developed tools.
• Define and maintain operational procedures, including scheduled processing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge bases for assigned systems.
• Monitor applications for compliance with IT standards and policies.

Required profile

• Experience in business application support or a comparable IT environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a systematic approach to root‑cause analysis.
• Good understanding of how IT applications support business processes.
• Experience working with databases and using data to analyse application issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with users, IT teams and external partners.
• Organised, priority‑driven work style with a client‑ and result‑oriented mindset.
• University degree in IT or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
