About the role

Allianz Croatia is looking for a proactive Actuary to join its Zagreb team. You will work on the development and maintenance of actuarial data environments, support stochastic modelling, and help drive data‑driven decisions across the non‑life insurance portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in managing and enhancing actuarial databases and data flows.
• Monitor data quality, perform validations, and support stochastic models and analytical frameworks.
• Automate regulatory and actuarial reporting processes, creating scalable data pipelines.
• Develop BI tools and dashboards, analysing portfolio performance and reporting results.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide advanced data analyses for business management.
• Identify automation opportunities, lead projects within the actuarial department, and document all solutions.
• Carry out regular actuarial tasks such as best‑estimate reserving, loss development analysis, and monitoring technical reserves for non‑life insurance.

Required profile

• University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Advanced user of MS Office applications.
• Experience with BI tools (preferably Power BI) and strong SQL knowledge.
• Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python.
• Analytical, organised, proactive and responsible.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Preferable experience in insurance or actuarial processes.
• Knowledge of code versioning, software development practices and actuarial concepts (reserving, IFRS 17, Solvency II) is a plus.
