About the role

The Croatian Veterinary Institute seeks a qualified professional to lead Organizational Unit 3 within the Department of Accounting and Finance. The position is full‑time, permanent, with a six‑month probation period.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile main ledger accounts with subsidiary books on a daily basis.
• Prepare and control VAT documentation, including UR, IR, VAT books, VAT forms, and related entries.
• Produce quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual financial statements and accompanying notes.
• Enter reports into the Ministry of Finance’s RKPFI application and prepare monthly liquidity plans.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, conduct annual asset inventories, and manage contract adjustments in the treasury register.
• Develop and monitor financial plans, project budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Assist accounting branches and project managers with Konto software and financial execution.

Required profile

• Higher education in economics or a related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in budgetary accounting.
• Proficiency in English.
• Preference for candidates familiar with the Konto accounting program.
