Designer In Training – Telecommunications

About the role

TechServ Design Group is looking for a Designer in Training to join its telecommunications team in Zagreb. This entry‑level position provides full training on designing fiber‑optic networks using specialised software, maps and project documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update network designs with specialised design software.
• Review maps, aerial imagery and other project information.
• Prepare design drawings and accompanying documentation.
• Check work for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
• Follow client standards and company procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver projects on schedule.

Required profile

• No prior industry experience required.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Willingness to receive feedback and learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or other drafting software (optional but helpful).
• GIS or other mapping software (optional but helpful).
• General drafting software proficiency.
