About the role

Plodine, one of Croatia's leading supermarket chains, is looking for a Department Manager to lead one of its key sections – bakery, delicatessen, dairy, gastro, butcher or fruit & vegetables. The role involves overseeing daily operations, motivating staff and ensuring high sales performance in a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a selected supermarket department, including inventory, merchandising and pricing.
• Lead, coach and schedule a team of associates to achieve sales targets.
• Maintain product quality, freshness and compliance with safety standards.
• Analyze sales data and implement promotional activities to boost revenue.
• Collaborate with other department heads and store management to ensure smooth store operations.

Required profile

• KV/SSS qualification or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in retail or a related field.
• Strong communication and sales abilities.
• High sense of responsibility and willingness to work in a team.
