About the role

The Quarry Manager is responsible for overseeing all mining operations at the Metković site, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and project specifications. The role includes planning, coordinating, and reporting on extraction activities while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute quarry exploitation in accordance with laws and approved project plans.
• Initiate and manage requests for expansion projects and increased extraction permits.
• Define qualifications and training programs for new production staff.
• Maintain all necessary licences and certifications for quarry personnel.
• Plan and monitor daily, monthly and yearly extraction schedules.
• Supervise production organization and manage explosive material consumption, including timely ordering.
• Prepare reports for regulatory bodies on explosive stock and usage.
• Track employee attendance, performance and disciplinary records.
• Generate daily, monthly and annual reports for company management.
• Organise routine maintenance, repairs and inspections of equipment, vehicles and facilities.
• Plan long‑term maintenance costs and capital investments.
• Lead new projects, monitor implementation and maintain documentation.
• Participate in supplier selection for equipment and services.
• Report extracted quantities, stock levels and cooperate with inspections and mining authorities.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma (VSS) in mining with a passed professional exam.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Good command of English.
• Valid category B driving licence.
• Reliable, responsible, diligent and meticulous personality.

• Proficiency with MS Office suite
