About the role

The Croatian Financial Services Agency (HANFA) is looking for a Senior Supervisor to join the Directorate for Supervision of Market Infrastructure and Market Abuse. The role involves overseeing both direct and indirect supervision activities, analysing market data, and contributing to the development of supervisory tools and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct direct and indirect supervision of market abuse and trading venue operators.
• Independently analyse data, prepare reports and analytical documents.
• Improve internal processes and data‑analytics tools.
• Propose supervision indicators and design data‑collection frameworks.
• Develop user reports and XML schemas.
• Monitor compliance of supervised entities and recommend risk‑reduction measures.
• Assess legality and risk of supervised entities’ activities and suggest appropriate actions.
• Control implementation of supervisory measures and outcomes.
• Participate in ESMA committees and other institutional working groups.
• Assist in administrative procedures within HANFA’s competence.

Required profile

• University degree (undergraduate + graduate) or integrated study with at least 300 ECTS credits.
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
• Active knowledge of English.
• Passed the Level II state exam (candidates without it may apply and will need to pass later; holders of a judicial exam are exempt).

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
