About the role

The Occupational Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Croatian occupational health and safety legislation as well as fire‑protection regulations. You will train staff on safe work practices, fire‑prevention measures and emergency response, while supporting internal audits and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor occupational safety and fire‑protection measures required by law.
• Conduct training sessions on safe work methods and fire‑prevention, extinguishing, and rescue procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies and regulatory bodies on safety, fire and explosion protection.
• Prepare reports, maintain documentation and support inspections by authorities.
• Perform internal audits of safety and fire‑protection compliance.
• Handle insurance matters and damage claims.
• Coordinate implementation of the quality management system.
• Support environmental protection activities.
• Ensure adherence to BAT Group policies and procedures.

Required profile

• State‑approved professional exam in occupational safety and fire protection.
• Basic knowledge of adult education (andragogy).
• Proficiency with PC tools, especially MS Office and reporting systems.
• Good command of English.
• Valid B‑category driver’s licence.
• Work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
